How a typical Skilled Patient PDC program works... 

We offer robust plans centered around your needs.  A typical plan will work as follows: 

·      On a daily basis you simply fax us your skilled patient census.  We use this information to electronically manage your census and give constant updates to your pharmacy. If at any time the pharmacy has questions concerning your census, PDC has a dedicated customer service center for your pharmacy to call. 

·      If your nursing facility elects, PDC will perform a drug review on each patient and check for appropriate medication use and possible cost saving alternatives.  We fax the information back to you for review. 

·      The processes you use to obtain the prescriptions at your local pharmacy WILL NOT CHANGE.  The only difference is the pharmacy submits the skilled patient’s drug information  online to PDC. Instead of getting a bill by one or more of your local pharmacies, you get a simple detailed billing for each patient as well as customized reports that allow you to see where you are spending your drug dollars.  It can not get any easier. 

·      Through our online system, we can require authorization from you for the pharmacy to fill OTC’s (Over the Counter) medications that you might already have in stock as well as Medical Devices that you can obtain elsewhere at a lower price and any other drug or drug category you require. 

In addition, because of our pharmacy adjudication technology, you get some of the lowest pricing anywhere.
